Meeting Description:

A Crash Course in CBCT Interpretation

 This course provides a practical foundation in CBCT interpretation for clinicians of all experience levels, covering image manipulation, interpretation strategies, and essential radiographic principles to support effective use of 3D imaging. Emphasis is placed on developing a systematic, reproducible approach that enhances efficiency while maintaining diagnostic accuracy for patient evaluation and treatment planning. The lecture also examines the diagnostic capabilities and limitations of CBCT in clinical practice, addressing common artifacts, radiation dose considerations, and the types of pathology that can be reliably identified. Special focus is given to distinguishing true findings from artifacts to ensure accurate and confident interpretation.

effectively.
• Understand the basics of CBCT interpretation.
• Identify pathology on CBCT scans.

• Understand your liability regarding CBCT technology.

 

Dr. Barett Andreasen Bio

 Dr. Barett Andreasen is an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist and the founder of Radiodontics. He completed his oral radiology residency at the UCLA School of Dentistry, receiving advanced training in CBCT, panoramic radiography, and other imaging modalities. He provides radiologic interpretation and consultation to dentists and specialists nationwide, collaborating closely with professionals in oral and craniofacial surgery, orofacial pain, oral pathology, orthodontics, and related fields.

Dr. Andreasen is a strong advocate for patient safety and responsible radiation use in dentistry, emphasizing education as a foundation for accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and clear communication.

Dr. Andreasen lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with his wife, three children, and dog.
