– The District of Columbia Dental Society (DCDS) announced today that the Pennsylvania Dental Association has joined on to participate in the 2016 Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting being held in Washington, D.C. March 24-26 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
“We are pleased to be able to partner with other state dental societies in the Mid-Atlantic region to make our meeting an even more valuable experience for attendees,” said Dr. Julian Moiseiwitsch, DCDS President. “With Delaware and now Pennsylvania on board, this allows area dentists and their teams to connect and learn from a larger and more diverse group of dental professionals.”
The Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting (formerly the Nation’s Capital Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting) has been held since 1931 and provides local dental professionals the opportunity to connect and take part in collaborative education in the practice of dentistry. The initial meetings were one-day lectures, with only a few dozen local dentists in attendance. Over the years, the Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting has grown into an annual multi-day event with 3,000 attendees. The meeting serves as a place where exhibitors and dental professionals from around the nation join together to learn about innovative techniques and technology in the dental field, as well as broaden their professional network. Today, the Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting continues to grow and has expanded from its original mission of providing education and networking to dentists, to providing opportunities to the entire spectrum of dental professionals, including office staff and dental hygienists.
“Our members are excited to be a part of the Mid-Atlantic Dental Meeting,” said Dr. Wade Newman, President of the Pennsylvania Dental Association. “We are looking forward to the many benefits of our new relationship with DCDS and Delaware. The attractive format and venue provide us a perfect opportunity to network and learn from an expanded group of professionals in our region.”
