Give Kids a Smile Day

Give Kids a Smile is a nationwide program first held by the American Dental Association (ADA) in 2003 to provide care and raise awareness of the importance of access to dental care for-low income children. The District of Columbia Dental Society in conjunction with the ADA and with the assistance and support of Howard University College of Dentistry and the District of Columbia public school system, will participate in the 6th annual national Give Kids a Smile Day on February 1, 2008. The 2007 Give Kids a Smile Day provided over $70 million worth of free oral care to approximately 500,000 underserved children nationwide.
